Zinc Alloy Anodes
Characteristics
"Zinc Alloy" anodes are cast from high grade zinc ingots to ensure an even corrosion pattern, reliable electrical efficiency and long working life.
Materials
Zinc Alloy anodes are cast to U.S. Military specifications U.S. MIL-A-18001 K and yield 780 amphere hours per kilogram of alloy with a solution potential of -1050 mV as measured against a silver / silver chloride reference cell.
Product Range
Wilson Taylor has the competent engineering personnel to design the systems, and has well equipped and self-adequate facility to produce anodes of any configuration and shape to meet specific requirements of projects/clients. Wilson Taylor provides custom made optimal solution to the corrosion problems with consideration of quality as prime objective.
Application
"Zinc Alloy" anodes are particularly suitable for ballast tanks and hull of ships, jetties and subsea pipeline applications in bracelet configuration. Zinc alloy anode is not suitable in a high temperature environment of 50°C and above. For temperatures of 50°C and above Wilson Taylor have a special alloy, "Zinc Alloy for Elevated Temperature".
Corrosion Survey Services
Wilson Taylor have a team of experienced marine corrosion engineers ever ready to carry out hull and ballast tank surveys before recommending an optimum solution to the clients.
Anode Element Analysis & Electro-Chemical Capacity Testing
The chemical composition of the produced anodes is analysed by using the Spectro Analysis Equipment and Electro Chemical Capacity Testing is also carried out for every 15MT of anode produced based on DNV specification. (based on client's request)
Raw Material for Product
Wilson Taylor Aluminium ingots (raw material for production) are purchased from LME approved vendors with a high purity level. Additional elements are added with these high purity ingots to get the required alloy.
